The 2004 Mission to Luna saw greater specialization of astronaut tasks, and was conducted with the purpose of evaluating the feasibility of a permanent lunar base.
The astronauts were Songyan Cai (engineer), Michael Garfinkle (pilot), Lucia Qiao (payload specialist), Tong Shen (co-pilot), Dan Sirbu (Habitat Commander), and Jiayi Zhou (payload specialist).
