Talk:Patrick's Proposal for Artistic Impressioning of the Habitat

Great. Here is how I would proceed with this: at lunch meetings and worksessions (at least one of each, probably a couple of worksessions), get a complete sample of how everyone feels about what should be included on the Hab. We can get a task force of people to read procedures (most specifically the Procedures Manual Power Systems sections, and pick out everything that needs to be included on the Hab that should be visible from the outside. While you're spoken to everyone about what, in their experience, is part of the hab in-Beta, and while you're combing through the relevant documents, make a big list of the things that would be viewable from the outside. When you've finished that, all you have to do is make a scale and ask some artsy people in the club to render it in 3D. That gets us a fully justified definitive list of the beta pieces of the hab while we're at it. Thanks for the proposal. This is a good project. EDIT: Also, talk to Chen-tao, because he already started trying to do this. - Darth Wombat 20:09, 31 May 2011 (EDT)

Chen-tao was going in a different direction however, it would still be a good idea to talk to him about it. On another note, I can probably team the server machines to render the thing when all is said and done. This however is dependent on how long it will take to find/teach people to model using Blender or whatnot. IronyFail 20:33, 31 May 2011 (EDT)
